Gorgers done and are hungry

I decided to RePaint my 2 Gorgers. I used a bunch of purple and red washes to help change the skin tone up compared to my regular Ogre flesh.

I hope you all are enjoying the updates. I have been in a painting frenzy lately and hope to keep it going. These frenzies in the past usually only last a few weeks at most.
There is a poster over at at The Ogre Stronghold who has inspired me to get a new Hunter up and running. Here's his WiP.

Until next time.

Mournfang and Sabretusks Finished

Here are 3 Mournfang/Dragon Ogres I finished. I put them on the 50x75 mm bases but when used as Mournfang I'll add a cavalry base to the back of each for a proper 50x100mm base. Only some minor conversions by adding Ironfists to 2 of them.

Below are my new Sabretusks or as I like to call them, my Gnoblar Cavalry. I thought this was an original idea until I saw 2 armies at the UK masters having the same idea. Oh well :)

Just noticed I forgot to paint the horns on one of the Gnoblars.

Enjoy!

Ogre Marauder from Avatars of War

I fell in love with this model the first time I saw it, and arrived two days ago. I just finished it tonight.  Really well cast, hardly any mold lines and no pinning was required. Model is also bigger and bulkier than the GW Tyrant.

He is going to my new Ogre Tyrant. I hope you enjoy.
And these are my next project. New Sabretusks aka Gnoblar Cav.

The Great Ogre RePaint

I have never been happy with my Ogres flesh tone. So after years of painting I think I finally like how I paint a lighter flesh tone. I originally painted this army back in 2007 for the Colonial GT, then added a few models once 8th Ed came out, and finally again when the latest Army Book was released.

Here are the newest paint jobs.

Heavens Slaughtermaster, I was going to add stars and comets on his apron but it became too busy so I went back to just black. The headgear is from a Lizardman Temple Guard Standard top and the scepter from the Empie wizard's kit.
Photo was taken before I repainted his apron black.
Next up are 6 ManEaters.  Front rank are a mixture of a bunch of kits. The back row used a bunch of Chaos blitz as they were originally Chaos Ogres.
Freehand on all the trousers.
I hope you enjoy!  I will post another unit in a few days.

Battle in the Garage

Yesterday I got to play a 2500 point game against a friend of mine. My army is all packed up so I borrowed his gruesome Ogre Kingdoms army and went to battle against his Dark Elves in his garage.

Here are the photos, I'll add some notes later when I get some time. It was a mighty massacre for the a Ogres.

Ogre for Hire

Here are some pics of my Ogre Mercenary for Mordheim.  He has gotten more action as a Maneater in my Ogre Army over the last 2 years.

He was a fun model to convert up.  I just kept adding trinkets to him.  His right is from the metal Butcher, and his left arm is from an Irongut.  As with all my Ogres, he has blue eyes.  I hope you enjoy.
